Nick Aleks Takes Drone Security to Prague

Nick Aleks is heading to Prague this fall to speak at RoboSec Europe, a robotics security conference pulling together the people who actually break autonomous systems for a living. His talk walks the full attack surface of a modern drone, not the marketing version of it.

The core of it: MAVLink, the protocol most autonomous platforms lean on, was built for reliability, not for an attacker sitting on the same link. Nick covers how command injection and unauthenticated message spoofing play out in the air, what the RF layer gives up before you ever touch software, and where autonomy logic itself becomes the weak point once a vehicle starts making its own decisions.

None of this is theoretical hand-waving. It comes out of teardowns and range time, the same work that fed into Damn Vulnerable Drone. The point of the talk is to hand defenders a real threat model instead of a checklist.
